In cooperation with the Institute for Environmental Research at RWTH Aachen University (IFER) and the Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture, Institute of Agroecology and Organic Farming (LfL) and under the editorship of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN), we have published a guide that farmers and gardeners can use to find out how many earthworms live in their arable land, whether there are many or few earthworms and what this means for their soil. In addition, advices are given on how the soil can be improved as a habitat for these important helpers of soil fertility. Just give it a try! The handout can be found under the following link:
