The gaiac research institute was commissioned by the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr to investigate the ground beetle fauna of the Essen/Mülheim airfield. Data collection began on 29 April: The on-site inspection with employees of the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr from the Lower Nature Conservation Authority and the Urban Development Department as well as the subsequent deployment of the pitfall traps turned into a small adventure with a low-flying helicopter, Bulli rides over the tarmac and a photo session with the old ‘Auntie Ju’!
