In 2021, the National Biodiversity Monitoring Center (NMZB) started its work. The NMZB brings together stakeholders from research and practice to further develop and anchor nationwide biodiversity monitoring in the long term (https://www.monitoringzentrum.de/). We are very pleased that our colleague Dr. Andreas Toschki has been appointed to the “Expert Panel Monitoring Soil Biodiversity and Functions”. Together with other national experts, we are looking forward to supporting the topic area of soil biodiversity and national monitoring and to making it more visible.
